A quick note from me:

First a little about myself... I am a thirty-four year old father of one who has played multiple instruments for a living but has played poker professionally for the last seven years.  I will immediately and prominently declare "this makes me an authority on nothing."  Everything expressed this blog is my opinion and potentially my mistake.  With that being said, I'll continue on my soapbox.

Having played poker for years and being forced to learn from the mistakes in logic I've made (usually monetarily), I've found myself meeting the frustration of the disconnects in the logical processes of others and myself.  From the simple to the complex, the trivial to the dire, people in the same situations can have VASTLY different ideas of the most logical course to pursue given a set of variables.  Whether it be going for it on 4th down of a football game, voting between two politicians, or choosing what to wear that day, people can make polar opposite choices and both be convinced of their correctness.  Why with the same input does the same output not emerge???  This is a disconnect which I'd like to fruitlessly and potentially arbitrarily wander through.  If you stumble upon my ramblings, I hope you enjoy!!  If not, hopefully I can learn something from you.

Enjoy,

Doug
